"How many months of cash" is a necessary question, but not a good strategic one. The better question: in which quarter is the next chance to prove value, and how much optionality do we want before then?

## Three layers of capital rhythm

- Survival line: never below 9 months of cash under any scenario
- Proof line: keep two quarters of buffer around key business milestones
- Opportunity line: retain flexibility for M&A, channel or talent windows

Teams that think in rhythm rarely raise at a weak moment — which is itself the best valuation protection.
